forms are sent to a special e-mail address and stored.
Each entry is
reviewed to ensure that the on-line form was completed correctly
and that there are no duplicate entries.
If the information
contained in the form is not in conformance with the registration
guidelines or is a duplicate form, it is deleted.
We then visit
Random.org, select
the random integer generator, enter the number of form e-mails received
and choose our recipient based on the number generated.
We use this
process to select three people.
We then contact the first person using the information provided on the form. If the phone number is erroneous, we will attempt to e-mail the person and expect a phone response within 3 days. After our contact we will validate
the information entered on the form of the first person selected.
In the event the information cannot be successfully validated, we
will attempt to contact and validate the information provided by the second
person.
In the unusual event we are unable to validate the information
provided by the first or second person, we will attempt to validate
the information of the third person.
Once the information
is validated, we will contact the recipient directly and make arrangements
to endorse the check and send it to the recipient's school.
The check will
require two co-signers - the recipient and the school she/he is/will
be attending.
The school will
be instructed to apply the funds strictly for tuition.
Important Note: It may take several days beyond the deadline to announce the recipient.
